April 28-30- 19th Annual Tommy Cain Memorial Ride! Pack up the horses and saddle up! Friday night- BBQ Chicken served at 5 pm and bingo begins at 6:30 pm. On Saturday morning, the cowboy breakfast will be served 7:00 am and the ride begins at 9:30 am. Also on Saturday night there will be a live auction, bbq chicken, live music, and more! ​May 6- Runnin' for Missions 5K and Fun Run! The First Baptist Church Belize Mission Team will be hosting a 5K run/walk for anyone ages 10 years and up and Fun Run for anyone under 10 years. Proceeds will be used for assisting the Mission Team with expenses for the mission trip. Registration begins at 7:00 am. Race begins at 8:00 am at the Camden Junior High Parking Lot. May 20- Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park hosts its annual Storytelling Event! Storytellers gather around the campfire at the ball field across from Happy Hollo camp ground to share stories and tall tales. Bring your chair and snacks and enjoy a pleasant evening! May 26-27-​ "Don't Forget Our Vets" Memorial Ride. Blackout Cruise starts on May 26th at 6 pm from the Veterans Park. The "2017 Rife Together Forever" memorial bike ride begins on May 27th from the Veterans Park. $25 per bike/car or truck. 120 miles of scenic route traveled. final stop will be at Birdsong Marina. Meal will be provided with registration. One t-shirt included with registration. Extra shirts available for purchase. Registration begins at 8:30 am. Kickstands up at 10 am. June 2-3- West TN Basket Guild hosts their annual "Weave-In" at Briarwood School. The 2 day event is open to the public. Visiting for "kit" purchases/trade show is free admission. June 3- National Trails Day! NBF State Park joins with all TN State Parks in this American Hiking Society's celebration weekend. Outdoor enthusiasts participate in educational exhibits, trail dedications, gear demonstrations, instructional workshops and trails projects. June 8- "Shooting Hunger" Sporting Clays Fun Shoot-an event supporting Second Harvest Food Bank. Registration begins at 7:30 am at the Carroll County Shooting Sports Park (680 McAdoo Cemetery Lane in Huntingdon, TN) with start times at 8:30 am and 1:00 pm. June 10- Fishing Rodeo will be held at Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park, Eva Beach Day Use Area. This event is held coining with the TN Wildlife Resource Agency's free fishing day. Lots of great prizes!

August 17- Retired Teacher Dinner will begin at 6:00 pm at the Apex Bank of Camden's Community Room.

September 1-2-​ Bargain Highway Weekend! The annual 30-mile yard sale stretches itself through Benton County! Follow Highway 69 from Big Sandy, through Camden, and all the way through Holladay to catch hundreds of yard sales! 

 

September 16-17-Rock and Race Weekend! Saturday, the Eva Beach Arts and Music Festival includes the best in local performers, arts, crafts, food, and more. Sunday is the Amazing Race. September 23- National Public Lands Day! NBF State Park joins TN's State Parks with a conservation and preservation awareness day.
