Location

Benton County is strategically located in the heart of the Tennessee Valley on U.S. Highway 70 and U.S. Interstate 40at exit 126. Nashville is only 85 miles to the east and Memphis is 140 miles to the west.

One of Benton's County's greatest assets is the availability of abundant transportation alternatives. The county is located within a day's drive of 60% of the United States population and 76% of U.S. markets.

Highways

Interstate 40, the major U.S. east-west route, is located 10 minutes south of Camden via U.S. Highway 641. U.S. Highways include 70 and 641. State Highways include 1, 69, 191, 192

Trucking Companies

Numerous trucking companies serve Benton County daily. Many of these lines provide overnight service from Nashville, Memphis, St. Louis and other major cities. United Parcel Service also serves the Benton County area with offices in Paris, Tennessee, located 20 miles north of Camden.

Rail

Benton County is served by the CSX Transportation Company. The CSX runs from St. Louis, Cincinnati and Louisville to Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans and Atlanta. CSX has indicated they would consider a spur line to the industrial park if enough park residents had the need for such a line.

Barge Service

Sangravl Company, Incorporated, a division of Ingram Barge, located at mile 100 on the Tennessee River, adjoining Highway 70 and serviced by CSX Transportation, has a barge terminal. Unloading facilities are available for handling any type of river traffic from barge to rail, truck or storage.

Air Service

The Benton County Airport is located 2.5 miles south of Camden and one-half mile from the industrial park. The airport is equipped with a 5,000' x 75' asphalt runway, medium intensity lighting, a 36" beacon, a 122.8 Unicom, VASI and REIL. Available fuel includes Jet A and 100 LL.

The nearest commercial airport serving Benton County is McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport located in Jackson, Tennessee, 55 miles from Camden.

Nashville International Airport, located in Nashville, Tennessee is approximately 100 miles from Benton County. Sixteen carriers operate from the Nashville Airport with approximately 400 flights daily to nearly 100 markets. The airport is served by a number of carriers, including Southwest Airlines.

Memphis International Airport in Memphis, Tennessee is less than two hours drive from Benton County. The airport boasts nine major airlines, three commuter airlines and 300+ daily passenger flights. The Memphis International Airport is ranked as the number one cargo airport in the world as it is the home of the Federal Express Super Hub, a major United Parcel Service hub, and RPS and Emory sort facilities. Drop off shipments can be made to FedEx as late as midnight for delivery by 10:30 a.m. the next day.

Over 600 flights per day, 80% of them direct, operate out of the Memphis and Nashville airports. Benton County's central location between these two major airports provides a great deal of flexibility in scheduling.
